A country parson in Kent for 31 years after a wartime career in intelligence and nine years as a schoolmaster, teaching modern languages, cricket and hockey, he is himself the son of a country parson. He grew up in lovely Kent parishes and almost naturally learned about the flora and fauna as well as the people.
During his time as a rector of Sandhurst and Newenden he began writing a weekly column in the Wealden Advertiser and this book is a selection of his writings. |
